Today, Quandra continues to grow as an artist while creating opportunities to connect with others through music, collaboration, and genuine musical experiences.

Where it Started
Music was woven into the home of Quandra’s maternal grandmother, where singing and musicianship were part of the family’s everyday life. Her grandmother played piano, her uncles played guitar, and her mother and aunts shared a love of singing together. Gospel and church music formed the ground beneath her voice, teaching her that songs can hold memory, testimony, and connection—and that foundation still lives in every note she sings.

A Love for Music
For Quandra, music has always been more than something she does—it’s something she feels. Her journey with singing began in the church, though it wasn't always something she embraced. As a young adult, she began to find more joy in singing and became the voice her family called on for weddings, life celebrations, and church events. It was during college, when she had the opportunity to play with the University of Illinois Black Chorus, that she began sharing her musicianship publicly as a pianist. That experience opened the door to a deeper musical journey—one of growing as a musician, finding her voice, and discovering the many ways music could connect her with others. She carries the influences that raised her with care, weaving them into a voice that feels grounded, grown, and unmistakably her own.
The Music She Feels

Quandra is drawn to spaces where music can be felt up close—rooms where people can breathe with the song, sit with the lyrics, and hear themselves in the stories. Her relationship with live music is rooted in presence, honesty, and deep listening. Whether she is interpreting a familiar hymn, reimagining a soul standard, or sharing an original song, she is always reaching for something true, human, and quietly transformative.
